In February 2020, basic researchers, clinicians, patients, family members and advocates will bring their talents and special stories to Mission Bay in San Diego, CA. Together, we will foster new perspectives, ideas, and collaborations, and accelerate therapeutic efforts for those living with CDG.

SBP’s scientific symposium will be held Friday, February 28 and Saturday, February 29, 2020, kicking off with an inspiring keynote presentation on “The Basic Science Origins of CDG” from Nobel Laureate Randy Schekman, PhD, UC Berkeley. In addition, 16 noted CDG-focused scientists and clinicians have agreed to speak on the following topics:

1. PMM2-CDG: Overview, Models and Therapies
2. Other Glycosylation Disorders: Models and Therapies
3. Basic Science of Multiple CDGs

The three-day event will conclude on Sunday, March 1 with the CDG Family Conference. Family topics include education on the science behind CDG, resources available for patients and families, and interventional and therapeutic approaches.

We are also excited to offer a Poster Session the evening of Friday, February 29—an opportunity for junior investigators and postdocs to present emerging science alongside patient and advocate presenters.
