New FASEB Webinar – Advocacy in Your Backyard: How Scientists Can Make A Difference

July 26, 2017

Members of Congress will be in their home states and districts in August. When legislators return to Washington in September, they will resume work on the 2018 budget for the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and other research agencies. The congressional break provides a great opportunity for advocates to reach out to their elected officials.

Please join FASEB for a special webinar on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 2 p.m. EST. Jennifer Zeitzer, Director of Legisative Affairs, and Benjamin Krinsky, Senior Legislative Affairs Officer, will provide an update on the status of the budget discussions on Capitol Hill, review new tools and materials available from FASEB, and offer tips on how to get other scientists engaged in advocacy.

To learn more about the Webinar, download the PDF and help spread the word by passing along to a colleague and others in your community. Please RSVP by Tuesday, August 1, 2017. You must RSVP to receive instructions for joining the webinar. Questions may be directed to Jennifer Zeitzer at
