The Xu lab at the University at Buffalo is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scholar to join our highly productive team to study the role of heparan sulfate in bone remodeling and/or inflammation. The Xu lab employs a highly multidisciplinary approach to investigate the novel functions of heparan sulfate in bone remodeling and inflammation, with a special focus on heparan sulfate-binding proteins that play essential roles in these systems. The prospective postdoc will be supported by an NIH T32 training grant. Applicants with 
backgrounds in any discipline of biomedical sciences are welcome to apply. Prior experience in protein expression and purification, histology, microscopy and murine models will be a plus. The main appeal of joining the Xu lab is the prospect of developing your own projects and obtain a truly multidisciplinary skill sets, which include biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, animal disease models and therapeutics development. Per NIH rules, this position is open only to U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.

Salary will follow NIH guideline ($52,074 for fresh Postdoc) and be commensurate with experience.
