Young Glycoscientist Award for 2019
The International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) is accepting applications from early career glycoscientists who have advanced the field of glycoscience and show promise of further achievements. One award (US$1,000) will be presented at the XXV International Symposium on Glycoconjugates (GLYCO 25, scheduled in Milano, Italy, from August 25 – August 31, 2019.  The awardee will present his/her accomplishments at GLYCO 25. Free registration, accommodation and economy airfare will be provided by the Glyco XXV conference.
Candidates should hold a PhD/DPhil degree and not be older than 35 years old.  Candidates should have less than 10 years after PhD (in case of parental leave, this limit can be extended by up to two years per child). As a general guideline, candidatesshould have minimum of 6 papers either as first, last or corresponding author in respected international journals.
Applications should preferably be submitted as a single PDF file electronically (or alternatively as 6 hard copies) and should include the curriculum vitae with list of publications, a letter summarising the accomplishments of the candidate and copies of his/her three most significant publications. A copy of the PhD/DPhil certificate and, if required, a certified statement regarding parental leave should also be included.
