Meetings Abstracts

Abstract submissions will last until TBA 2018. There will be no late-breaking abstract submission window and no extensions can be made for abstracts to be considered for publication in the journal, Glycobiology.

All accepted conference abstracts will be published online by Oxford and freely available to access. No printed abstract books are available.

Requirements: You must register for the meeting prior to submitting an abstract. Abstracts must be submitted with the intention that they will be presented if selected. If a first author must cancel for some reason, it is their responsibility to designate one of the other authors as their replacement.
Length: Limit 3000 characters (not including title, authors, and affiliations)
Figures: DO NOT includes figures or tables.
Editing: Be sure your abstract is in final form. It will be printed in the Glycobiology journal as submitted.
Formatting: When submitting your abstract, follow all directions in the abstract submission tool for best results. You will be able to add greek characters and format within the tool. Follow the directions provided and proceed from one page to the next.
Fee: There is a $30 abstract submission fee per abstract. You may pay for one or more abstracts during the registration process.

All posters will on display during the entire conference, but presenters are asked to stand at their poster during one of the two poster sessions as assigned in their notification letters.
Poster session 1:  Tuesday November 6, 2018 @ TBA
Poster session 2:  Wednesday November 7, 2018 @ TBA
Set-up: TBA
Break-down: TBA
The display space is 4ft x 4ft (122 cm x 122 cm) with approximately 114.5 cm x 114.5 cm of usable space. You may choose to create a longer poster to hang down past the display space, but please keep within the width restriction since there will be two posters displayed per board. The society will provide and post the abstract and poster board number in the designated space. Push pins will be provided on-site and a fully labeled floor plan will be in your program book for easy location of your board. Please see the image shown here for an example of your display area and plan accordingly to bring materials that can fit on this display space.
